About

I am Senior Vice President of Product Development for the Language Technology products of SDL. The teams that I lead create globally leading products for the translation industry, including Computer Aided Translation tools and Translation Management systems. Prior to this, I led development of SDL’s Social Intelligence products. SDL Social Intelligence offers an enterprise suite of social intelligence tools and services that includes social media monitoring, listening, analytics and predictive insights.

Previously, I spent 12 years at Noetix Corporation, a software company in Redmond, Washington, which provides BI solutions for Oracle enterprise applications.  I was Executive VP of Products and Services, overseeing Engineering, Test, and Professional Services. During my years at Noetix, I also managed the Sales Consulting team for several years and worked closely with field sales, marketing, and human resources.

Prior to Noetix, I held executive engineering positions at Onyx Software Corporation and Luminous Technology Corporation.  Earlier in my career, I worked for more than 5 years at Cimage Corporation (which allowed me to move to Norway, Michigan, and England) and another 5+ years at IBM Corporation. I started my career as a software developer, progressing in seniority to become a lead developer and then development manager. From there, I added additional management responsibilities, including QA, documentation, localization, program management, and product management.

I’ve been active in non-profit performing arts organizations since 2000 and have served on the board of directors for Washington Academy of Performing Arts, SecondStory Repertory, and Village Theatre. I lived Washington State from 1994 until 2014, with my wife and have two children who are musical theatre professionals. In the middle of 2014, my wife and I relocated to London.

I have an irrational fondness for musical theatre, hot dogs, Julie Andrews, penguins and baseball.
